Privacy Policy
Version of 9 October 2026.
1. Who processes your data
BLACK JET BROKERS, a matchmaking platform dedicated to business aviation in Africa, processes its users' personal data as controller.
For data that a broker or an operator records about its own clients, contacts and passengers, that broker or operator is the controller; BLACK JET BROKERS acts on its behalf, as processor.
A flight contract binds the client and their broker: for the data needed for that flight, the broker is the controller.
Contact for any question about your data: contact@blackjetbrokers.com.
2. The data we process
Website visitors
- A request sent without an account: name, company, email address, phone, legs, dates, number of passengers, budget, notes.
- This data is saved as soon as you click "Continue", even if the request is not sent.

- Identity and contact details: name, position, company, country, city, email address, phone.
- For brokers and operators: information about the agency or company, verification documents, certificates and insurance, bank details the member chooses to show on its documents.
- Preferences: language, theme, dashboard template, document templates.
Flights
- Requests, quotes, contracts, invoices, proofs of payment, manifests, certificates, flight reports.
- Passenger data: name, nationality, date of birth, passport number and expiry date.
- Cargo flight: description of the goods, weight, volume, dangerous goods, packing list.
- Medical flight: number of patients and companions, and the information on the patient's condition needed for the flight (lying or seated, intensive care, incubator, oxygen, medical team).
Exchanges
- Flight concierge messages, Community posts, reactions, comments and private messages, reports.
Technical data
- Log of actions taken on the platform (who, what, when), notifications, connection data.
We ask for no data we do not need.
We use no card payment data: the platform does not process payments.
3. Why we process it, and on what basis
| Use | Basis |
|---|---|
| Creating and managing accounts, verifying brokers and operators | Performance of the Terms; legitimate interest in a network of verified professionals |
| Passing on a request, quote, document or message | Performance of the Terms and of contracts between users |
| Preparing and following a flight, issuing manifests | Performance of the charter contract; civil aviation legal obligations |
| Health data for a medical flight | Explicit consent of the patient or of the person entitled to give it; failing that, protection of the patient's vital interests |
| Getting back to a visitor who made a request | Legitimate interest in following up the request |
| Running and moderating the Community | Performance of the Terms; legitimate interest in respectful exchanges |
| Security, fraud prevention, action log | Legitimate interest; legal obligations |
| Suggesting responsive brokers in the client's region | Legitimate interest in guiding the client; the suggestion takes no choice away from anyone |
| Platform usage statistics | Legitimate interest in improving it |
We send no marketing without your consent where the law requires it.
No decision with legal effects is taken solely on the basis of automated processing.
4. Who sees your data
- The broker you choose sees your request and the data needed for the flight.
- The operator receives from the broker the passenger or patient data needed to perform the flight; it does not receive the commercial identity of the client.
- The client does not receive the identity of the operator through the platform.
- A request from a visitor without an account is passed on to brokers without the visitor's contact details; only BLACK JET BROKERS sees them.
- Community members see posts, and the two people in a private conversation see their messages.
- A broker's public profile (name, agency, country, city, presentation) is visible on the website; their contact details are not.
- The BLACK JET BROKERS administration accesses data to the extent needed for support, verification, moderation and security.
- Our technical providers (hosting, message delivery) process it on our behalf, under contract and with the same security requirements.
- Authorities receive it when the law requires.
We sell no personal data.
5. Transfers outside your country
The platform serves users in many African countries and beyond.
Your data may therefore be hosted or accessed in a country other than yours.
We frame these transfers with appropriate safeguards (contractual clauses, commitments from our providers) and in line with the law of your country.
6. How long we keep it
- Account: while it is open, then three years to deal with any claim.
- Request from a visitor without an account: three years after the last exchange.
- Flight documents (quotes, contracts, invoices, manifests, certificates): the legal retention period for commercial and accounting records, generally ten years.
- Health data for a medical flight: as long as needed for the flight and its file, then deleted or anonymised.
- Community messages and posts: for as long as membership lasts; content removed by moderation is kept for one year, to deal with a challenge.
- Action log: one year.
At the end of these periods, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Security
Exchanges with the platform are encrypted.
Access to data is limited according to the account, the role and the rights set by each agency.
Sensitive actions are recorded in a log.
The platform applies a discretion rule between the client and the operator.
In the event of a data breach that puts you at risk, we inform you and the competent authority within the time limits set by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may:
- access your data and obtain a copy;
- have it corrected or completed;
- ask for it to be erased;
- object to processing or ask for it to be restricted;
- receive the data you provided in a readable format, to pass it on to another service;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before;
- set out what happens to your data after your death, where the law provides for it.
Write to contact@blackjetbrokers.com.
We reply within one month.
For data that a broker or an operator has recorded about you, contact them first; we help them reply to you.
You may also contact the data protection authority of your country, for example ARTCI in Côte d'Ivoire, CDP in Senegal, NDPC in Nigeria, ODPC in Kenya, the Information Regulator in South Africa or CNDP in Morocco.
9. Minors
The platform is reserved for adults.
The data of a minor passenger is provided by the client, with the agreement of the person with parental authority.
10. Storage in your browser
The platform keeps in your browser what it needs to work: your session, your language, your theme and the page you were on.
These items are necessary for the service; they are used neither for advertising nor to track you on other websites.
We use no advertising trackers.
To display certain documents, the platform may load technical libraries from a content delivery network, which then receives your device's address.
You can clear these items in your browser settings; you will then need to sign in again.
11. Changes to this policy
We may change this policy.
The date of the version in force appears at the top of the page; you are informed of any significant change.
